Today the PGC preliminary approved the $25 a year pheasant stamp. Final approval likely in March.

Wondering if anyone can tell me how the hunting was this year in the Groton area. I am heading out there in the fall and wondering if I should focus hunting west or north of Groton. Hoping to find some sharp tails as well.

what choke are people using with prairie storm ammo? i tried some last season in 20g #5 and even with I/C choke i was turning my birds into hamburger. i stopped using it but thought about giving it a second try. but maybe its not worth it on PA birds.

I am thinking of getting a 28g SxS but I would like to keep it at 1K or under. Open to new or used. Any recommendations. I would prefer a single trigger and no double full choke.

As I sit in the 90 degree weather thinking about the opening day this fall, it made me remember the last day of the season in PA this past February.

Is anyone familiar with pheasant around SGL 58? I plan to do some scouting for habitat but dont want to waste time on it if it is not where birds are released. Isn't a place i would regularly hunt but interested in letting my dog run some new areas.
