    Flying your game

Good to know. Hopefully it becomes a good problem to have. I’m excited. I’m actually on the plane headed to Nebraska now.

    Boots

All research suggests that Kenetreks and Crispis are great boots but that’s a steep investment for a couple of days a year. I have a pair of Irish Setter Vapr Trek but I’m wondering if I need a second pair. I’m flying from VA for 2 days the first week of November.

    Boots

If anyone here has ever hunted NW/S-W Nebraska, do you think 16” muck boots are necessary to hunt grouse and pheasant?

    Flying your game

So here is the plan. Large duffle bag. Pack as light as I can for the hunt. Birds will be frozen for 12 hours before I drive 3 hours to board the plane. The birds will be packed in a dry bag, inside the duffel bag. If I can find dry ice before boarding the flight, I will drop dry ice in the dry...

Ok. I think I can make that happen. I’ve bought fish back from Tampa. Fillets lay flat but it sounds like the same process. Thanks for the info everybody. Happy hunting.

    Flying your game

I’ll have to do the research. All sounds good. I’m using a rental and have a flight to catch as well.

    Flying your game

I’m not sure where the local post office or fed ex store is. That’s a great idea if reasonable considering location of lodge and time for flight back to VA.

What’s the best way to fly your game back to your home state without accumulating a ton of fees?

    Carleton White Wing Chokes

I know the name implies less hardy game but, I’m wondering if anyone has any experience with these chokes? I couldn’t find any info in here about them. I have a pair for my 20g TriStar Setter O/U. Just wondering if anyone has actually used them on any pheasant, grouse, etc.

    Rio Royal Pheasant copper #5

I shoot the 7.5’s for dove hunting (lead). Makes you wonder sometimes if you slipped the wrong load in somehow
