Yesterday was too nice not to try. Once the big bunch was broke up we did ok. Two hours of walking cattails got our birds. Tough going for both dogs and hoo man’s though. Might try again tomorrow.
Took a drive around yesterday. Didn’t see any cover that wasn’t completely blown full of snow. Even some of the county roads are still drifted in. Been awhile since the season essentially ended this early.
My wife and I have shot more huns and sharpies than we have since I retired in 2005. Surprisingly, pheasants have been very good or actually excellent. Hope folks are getting out. We have seen few hunters…fewer that had a clue.
