Filled my prairie tag Monday and after seeing some feather art photos thought I'd give it a shot. Not perfect and probably should have started smaller but so be it.
Beautiful old Tom 22.5lbs 1.5" spurs beard frozen off, statewide archery and hills tags next. Let's Gooo

I've been looking at that same type of mounts. Are the bones still in the wings? Looks good.

Zero bones or meat in the entire mount. Skin out entire bird clip at wing joints then you are essentially removing every feather individually from neck down, trimming downy edge off and laying as they came off bird. Roughly 12-14hrs
