If you dont mind me asking where is she from?
Nice point. Was this a put and take Place???![]()
Was this a put and take Place???
Yes. Steel Fork has pheasants, chukar and quail and over 10,000 acres to hunt. Strong flying birds and the closest thing I have found to wild.
FBF if you are thinking of running a hunt test, you should come to Cabela's in Lone Tree on Saturday at 9:00 am. Rocky Mountain Pointing Lab club is meeting there and setting up our training schedule for the year. It is great if you want to try hunt tests or just pick the brains of a bunch of good guys that have been training dogs for awhile. I joined the club last year and I have learned so much working with these guys.
Lankas Labs in Atwood, KS
Nice looking pup. Sounds like you got yourself a good one. Don't screw her up!
I've got one from Mike Lankas too. They aren't as common at the APLA trials as labs from some of the other breeders because Lankas doesn't run APLA trials, but they will get the job done nonetheless.
DPF - great looking pictures!
I'm heading down to Steel Fork in the morning to work the dog. Anyone else going to be there?

Good looking dog. That's one of the reasons I chose Lankas. I didn't want a dog that could run trials. I wanted a dog that could hunt and be a good family member.
Well I got all that and then some, but now the APLA thing is starting to intrigue me. Joined the Rocky Mountain Pointing Lab Club, and I'm heading out to their training day to tomorrow. Still not sold on testing/titles/etc., but we'll see.
