WOW what a hunt

had a hunt to remember for a lifetime tonight. went yote hunting with a friend this evening. was hunting a large marsh. started out with a rabbit in distress call. nothing. went to a pheasant in distress call . nothing. did get a few roosters cackling. waited till sunset and gave a howl. instantly a pair howled. I switched to a pair of yotes on my FoxPro. they CHARGED in looking for a fight. they ran past my buddy broadside and he killed them BOTH with one shot with his 22-250. :cheers::10sign: range was 48 yards. man were we pumped after that. have had a long dry spell calling. what a way to break it.

Way to put the smack down on those yotes. You might want to try the challenge calls more now than the distress calls. The are pairing up and looking for den areas. Distress calls work better in the early part of the season.:thumbsup:
