winter so far

How has your winter been so far, those that live in S and W MN? My guess is that the pheasant and deer have had a decent winter so far. Tomorrows storm could change all of that. Here is hoping for a glancing blow!

I live near Pequot Lakes, and between the warm weather, and Monday and yesterdays rain, our snow pack is greatly reduced, not snow free yet, but certainly diminished a lot.

Western MN has basically been in spring mode since early January. It was tough with the ice storm and some deep snow for a couple of weeks but things turned around in hurry. February has been non-winter with enough 50-60 degree weather to get rid of nearly all snow. Deer and pheasants are in excellent shape for this late in the winter and should have a good breeding season if the weather continues to cooperate. Far southern and SE MN getting hit pretty hard today - good thing this one missed the prime pheasant counties to the west and north.
