Wingworks- std Cordura vs Ballistic?

Duct Tape

New member
New here and after looking through some searches I see lots of threads on these vests, and a couple of times the question about the newer ballistic cloth vs the standard cordura has been asked, but never answered.

Any thoughts or experience with the ballistic cloth. Is it too stiff or make the vest too heavy?

Thx

Nope and Nope. I like it just fine. The vest is going to be stiff when you first get it, but it is pretty impressive how quickly it breaks in.

BTW -- this is one of those -- I wish I would have done it sooner things for me. I really like the vest.

Thanks Jon for your inquiry! In its most common form, Ballistic fabrics would be too heavy, stiff and noisy for a hunting vest. Abrasion, thorns and briars are the worst offenders for hunting and ballistic is a pure filament (shiny/slick) fabric. However, CORDURA? Classic fabric is a textured fabric that tends to be quieter and less likely to pick and pull (when attacked by thorns and briars). Hope this helps!
