Headed out this weekend for one last day hunt was thinking about trying around Salina or Mcpherson area. Any suggestion's on which area would be better or have better #'s?

just look up old posts here dude its everywhere on here im thinking about trying a new area myself this weekened from some recent posts on here dont you love kansas why would you want to go anywhere else whooo wee!

agree, lots of old posts and info all over the place.......if you are not in an area of much snow and the weather is nice, try some unlikely looking spots.....this time of year the birds are looking for places where they won't be disturbed and those marginal looking places can hold birds.

I agree if the weather is nice try the unlikely looking spots. I'm leaving Tuesday to hunt until the end of season and it the weather is nice I will be hunting wheat stubble, milo stubble, and thin crp stands that often get overlooked. I am going to have a pheasant fry at a friends house to get rid of some birds Fri. night so I can hopefully hunt until Monday. I guess I'll find out if my two Gordons and I are in good enough shape to make it that long. The longest hunt so far this year has been 5 days.

your strategy for finding birds this time of year is spot on, good luck and have fun, hunt hard, as it is a long time until November!
