Funny how completely dead this site is this time of year. I've been doing a few things to get ready for the 2013 season. Planned a trip to Western SD. Bought a new Benelli and a beeper collar for my 1 year old GSP. I had a few nervous moments last year when I couldn't find her so I really wanted the locate feature.

Anyone else?
 
I've been WAY busier then I would like to be. I have an 11 month old Britt pup that is a project, non-stop energy.
Hows the beeper collar work?
I'm going to have to try that with the pup.
 
I really like the collar. I set it up so it only beeps while on point. I don't want to listen to the thing all day. Really like the locate feature. She seems a little distracted by it at first but gets used to it.
 
Planting Shrubs and food-plots on the hobby-farm. 100 Hazlenut, 75 buffaloberry, 75 lylacs, 25 Arrowwood-viburnums, 10 willow, 10 green dogwood and 18 apple trees. Planting food plots this coming weekend, corn and soybeans.

Happy to see the rain but would like some warmer temperatures. Always lots of projects during the spring and summer. I plan on building at least one Hay-bale blind for deer hunting. So far I have seen good numbers of roosters and hens on my place but I have good cover (NWSG and Cattail slew).
