What is causing the hair to change in my dog

I have a 10 year old Deutsch Drahthaar. I have fed her the same food for about 6 years. I changed it about 2 1/2 months ago because it was discontinued. I noticed in the past couple of weeks that her eyebrows and muzzle have turned gray and her beard is about gone.

What is causing this? Is it just her age or is it the change in diet that caused it?

I don't want this discussion to get off on dog food brands so I didn't mention the brands of food.

Perhaps if you went out on the "net" you may find the answer(s). Could be just age? Or it could be the dog's hairdresser!
