What a great morning of training

This morning, I took the dog out for a run and I was simply amazed at the number of birds she put up. The first point resulted in six hens then, a solid lock up on a young rooster followed by another pair of hens then a long track to another double of hens within 50 yards another point on a single hen then, not far away another solid point of two roosters and I don?t know how many hens. Oh yes as we headed back to the truck another two hens. This was all on public land in SW Iowa and within 90 minuets. I have hunted this property before and have had success but never these numbers. Ohh 20 days to go.

While you're pining away waiting for the pheasant opener, we're hitting the woods for grouse and woodcock here in WI. I'd go crazy if I had to wait another 3-4 weeks to be able to hunt.
