Web-footed "Pheasant"

Sorry guys, I know this is more a forum for pheasant, but I can't really find a place to post this on a duck hunting forum... none are as good as this site! So I'm taking a full week off next week to take my pup out dusky hunting and want to get a bunch of duck hunting in. New to the duck hunting thing so I was wondering if someone could point me towards so decent spots.

I'll be out towards the Eagle area, but being that I have a whole bunch of days off, I could really drive anywhere. So, any thoughts? Colorado River, Yampa River? Wash Park Lake in Denver (just kidding)?

Thanks as always!

Not sure about access but there were lots of mallards on the river between silverthorne and kremmling last weekend. With this last front that may have changed. Even saw a bunch rafted up on woford mountain res. Good luck. FYI if its public you may have to muscle your way in and wear a helmet, even up there.

Noted. Helmet and flak jacket packed. I'll be out during the weekdays, so hopefully that will help a bit. I'll try to tuck myself away form the crowds as to not have my as of yet unlearned duck calling scare everything away for the rest. If you see ducks scattering and laughing when your driving down I-70 out by Eagle, give a honk, that'll be me.

North park area, but you will need more than a helmet and flack jack. That place is a true zoo on opening weekend. Walden res. is straight dangerous, a group of shooters every 50 yrds. But....there are some hidden spots if you can do some driving and research. An idea might be to try around the beaver dams in the hills near Rand and Gould. Have fun either way. Lets see some reports on them web footed fellers. :)
