Man were the birds moving last night and early this morning ahead of this snow and cold front. I was outside at 1 a.m. and could here them for 20 minutes before I had to go back in because of lack of warm clothes on. While inside I could still hear them every 8-10 minutes.

What are you talking about we shot 16 Ducks Sunday. But we were not road hunting.:p

You have found BC's meds for sure! I am telling Sister Teresa!!! Yes, many, many geese were migrating in last night and early this morning! I sat out and listened to them in the snow until 1 or so in the morning and could still here them after that from inside. I don't sleep much!!!

You hunting in the town park:D I'm trying to find new spots. We got a dought going on I've never had to drive over 7 miles to shoot ducks. 3/4 mile to hunt bayou in pasture and thats awesome hunting most years:) But everythings dry:( Damn global warming:mad: I'm talking Iowa here.

It was Disneyland last week on the pond. We have over 2k honk duck (salt and pepper) in the field. Ready for Saturday. No upland for me... too cold for the nose to work.

Beautiful mixed bag.. I love getting a variety of ducks and wigeons and teal are my favorites.

Awesome picture, HTS!

Bleu - I had the same experience Friday night and Saturday. Beyond a handful of residents, we'd seen hardly any birds flying over the house to the reservoir in our neighborhood until the last 4 days - now, as you say, it's a cacophony of honks from dusk into the wee hours.

And leaving the airport yesterday, there was a line of birds over a mile long coming down Pena.

Waterfowling is certainly looking up.

Bleu,

That's good to hear. I hope they keep coming south. I'd like to do a little waterfowling this year.
