Upland Jacket With A Hood

Anyone have any recommendations on a light weight upland jacket with a hood that comes in blaze orange (sorry Goose)?

I know Orvis makes one, but man for $400, idk if it's worth it (unless someone can really sell me on it). Curious if anyone's tried some of the Pyke jackets or Chief Upland? Not looking for a do all jacket with a bird pouch, just a jacket to shed some water that isn't too hot, seems like a holy grail item now that I look around for them.

I have the vest version and it adds enough warmth for me without much bulk. It does get a few snags in it but I’ve come to live with them. In my opinion it runs a little small for layering I ordered a xxl and it fits looser like I like. My bad I reread your post I don’t think it’s going to shed much water. I’ve never hunted in it in much more than a drizzle.

This was a good option for me, I use it in the afternoons when it is warmer and I want something quick to throw on. I still have a full upland coat that I use for extended walks and late season.

I got the Chief upland one for Christmas and have used it several times since and it’s amazing. I have the late season one, I could wear a T-shirt under it and be warm in about 20 degrees. I liked it so much my wife bought me the early season one too for when it warms up in a few weeks. It hasn’t arrived yet but chief upland really outdid themselves.

These are decent. do not buy a size larger as mine ran large anyway. Wound up giving mine away as it was pretty warm and only 1/4 zip.

This would seem to fit exactly what you are looking for at a really good price.

I ordered one of these this morning. I remember looking at these last year and remembered that these are thinner and lighter in weight than the soft-shell I normally wear. Should be great in the early season when I need something over my t shirt in the early morning and can strap it to my vest when things warm up towards the afternoon.
