So we all had an awesome time down by Dodge City this past MLK weekend. From Friday afternoon until Monday mid morning, we shot 30 birds. We were all within our 4 bird limit. I actually got my limit on Saturday and I shot 3 on Friday and 3 on Sunday. Monday wasn't too great, weird weather with rain starting around 11:00 am....I mean rain in January?? Where is the snow??
We ate at the Bad Habit in Dodge Friday and Sunday night and Angie knows how to cook some ribeyes and their Bad Habit burger is awesome....good beer and good times.
We saw lots of birds...however I don't recall ever seeing this many hunters this late in the season than this year. I have been hunting out there since 1996.
I don't know what it is or was, however there were alot of hunters for mid January....almost like opening weekend
Anyhow, I guess until next season....in the meantime I will be training my new yellow lab female pup, Daisy, trying to get her ready for next season.
