Looks like the new pups training is going to be on hold for about 4 weeks. He developed a limp after a fall. Turns out he fractured his front leg. He is in a brace for 3-4 weeks.

Hope he is 100% very soon!!!! Darn Pups!!!!!:(:(

Sorry to hear that. Hope that he gets better soon!

We have a 9 month old Weim pup ... I don't see how they make it to 1 year.

Sorry to hear that. It makes me think now as my 4.5 year old english setter jumped a small ditch with hig cover at full speed and took a tumble. SHe has a limp, I went over her leg , shoulder and paw but found nothing or solicited any pull back from her. I'll give a few days. Hope you pup heals fast, it will be tough as they still have all that energy..

Took Jack in to get a new splint as this one seemed to be bothering him the last couple days. Turns out the splint broke inside and rubbed a raw spot on his leg that is now VERY infected. No new splint because they cant put it over the infected area. Lots of antibiotics and he has to wear the cone and be kenneled 24/7. They hope if he does not run around, the break will finish healing (x-ray showed great progress) and if he can't get to the infection to lick or chew on it, hopefully it will start to heal up. Another set back! Can't even work on much obedience with him in the kennel and sedated all the time.

I'll never be w/o pet insurance again!...Sure, they do not cover everything, but saves a ton of money on most things.

I've only had one claim on my "Pet's Best" basic plan, but I only paid ~$200 out of a $1400 bill, so the savings on that one claim alone is equal to three more years of premiums!

Hope the pup recovers soon!

Will be starting my training very soon, but he's still in the fun in the sun stage right now! ...life is a bowl of cherries!...that is of course unless he pees in the house:rolleyes:
