Today swans in Kansas

Today as a buddy & I walked a milo field here in south-central Kansas a pair of swans (pure white, with long necks and wings set back on their bodies) got up from the wheat field right next to us and flew over. Another first in my 54 years, yesterday two bald eagles up close and today swans for the first time in the wild.. What a great way to begin 2012.

P.S. I did not have anything to drink last night, so I was not seeing things.

I had 2 fly into my decoy spread a few years ago in SEK. Pretty cool, and big. I do see alot of eagles around the resivoirs. I actually had one land in a cotton next to me one year bowhunting. St Paul refuge gets alot eagles.
