Last night I saw them taking corn out by 1 of my favorite WPAs. My cousin has a friend from out of state with him so I told them to hit this place at 10. We'll they went elsewhere so I took off early and headed out to check on it.
I took all 3 dogs out blow off some steam.

Got into birds right away. Missed the first 3. Missed the 4th and said no way. Watched the bird drop a leg and kept a eye on him as far as I could see. Took the dogs and headed that direction 150 yards later found a dead bird!

Got the next 2 with 2 shells. 1 took a hell of a track for my female but she retrieved to hand in 10 minutes.

Now watching some non residents hunt a real nice quarter. It's 65° I hope they don't kill their labs out there.

At it again. Got some nice points on hens. Solid point on the rooster I bagged. Incidently this is the 2nd rooster in 2 years that was constantly crowing and gave away his location. Young bird with a bad crow but he was working on it.
Pic is my Delio on point after catwalking 5 yards along those cattails. I released him and he went a few steps in and locked up in a crouching -bird is right here-point. Rooster came out from a few feet in front of him. This all was 2 minutes after legal shooting time so I just enjoyed the show.20221025_182920.jpg
