Thinking about Iowa.

Hello. I'm thinking about hunting Iowa this Fall for pheasants with my 17 year old son. I'm looking at the Cherokee area. More than likely hunting walk in areas but will definitely look around and ask to hunt private if possible. Is anyone on this page from around the area? Just looking for options.

I am about 30 miles from Cherokee. My immediate area has very little public ground, but there their are a few pockets around Cherokee. Check the maps on the DNR site for IHAP, and any other government owned public ground. Shot you a PM.

Let me know when you will be out this way, make it a holiday, saturday or sunday and we will get you in some private owned cover. Do you have family in the Cherokee area or why did you choose this area?
