headed to Sweetwater area next week for quail. Looking at maybe making a day trip for pheasant. What's the closet place I can go from there thats public land that I can shoot some wild pheasant?
 
The Texas season closed 1/2.
 
oklahoma panhandle is still but cost $145 for out of state...not worth it.
i like pheasants but here quail is longer and a lot more of them
