I dug around the intrawebs couldn’t find much about other examples. Some reported boss ammo having issues getting wet. I’ve seem obstructed barrels blow up but this dismantled the receiver and internals.Guns dont just blow up. Probably user error or mistake that led to a barrel obstruction or something. 99.99999999 percent sure it wasnt the gun or the ammo. Have a link to facebook page? I would like to see the gun.
The boss I shot yesterday did some damage to the internals of the receiver.but this dismantled the receiver and internals.
Do hunt a lot of WPA’s? Great job on 3 roostersThe boss I shot yesterday did some damage to the internals of the receiver.
The receivers were 3 roosters. Definitely messed up their internals.
This was a modern 12 gauge, not a sweet 16.
Thanks. This was after 2 days of being skunked last week and some gun/shooting issues that I might be overcoming. (don't want to jinx myself toooo much)Do hunt a lot of WPA’s? Great job on 3 roosters
Are you still using it or did you change brands? I thought about trying some in 28 gauge but probably going to take a pass on it.Theres been several reports of it on FB, boss always says its the gun fault. That stuff is too hot, way too hot.. it pings my Beretta, slams the bolt back so hard it makes a ringing sound (never had another shell do that).. and kicks hulls about 5 full feet farther than anything else. Not to mention hulls splitting wide open. Again if you contact boss with these issues they say its the gun.
I wonder if people have tested stated velocities through a chrono? I've only a few shells left of 12ga. 2 3/4 and haven't seen the hulls split although I got a few squib loads(3), albeit in snowy conditions, I think snow melted and powder got wet. I ordered a case of Kent #4 in 12 and have had excellent results with it in both dry and damp conditions. That’s a good question, there a husband wife team at my retriever club that have been using them for a long time without issue, they shoot 725’s though, they like it, Ive got numerous boxes of hevi-shot hevi pheasant, they used to troll this site pretty hard. Its ok but I just don’t shoot steel for pheasants very often.I wonder if people have tested stated velocities through a chrono? I shoot their 12, 16, and 28 varieties without issue. I love their ammo! Are you still using it or did you change brands? I thought about trying some in 28 gauge but probably going to take a pass on it.
