I have a 30x30 pole barn with metal siding, concrete floor and lighting. On the East side of the building is a 10' over hang. When I built this building my plan for the 10' over hang was to have my kennels under it which they are. However, now I am thinking that this is not enough anymore and also I will have a little extra $$ to play with this summer. Have wanted to do this for a few years now but lacked the funding.
I want to enclose the 10' overhang and make small indoor kennels so that the dogs can go in and out and be warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer via a small a/c unit. I'm just not sure what to use for the front. First thought is concrete blocks about 3' high then tin the rest of the way up. I'm just afraid when the males raise their legs on the tin it won't last long.
Any other thoughts?
