Anyone been out since last week's cooler temps and rain? Thought about going yesterday, but haven't seen many on the powerlines on the way home from work. Up until last week I'd seen quite a few around and also had some pretty good hunts.

I saw quite a few around Lawrence while it was raining. Haven't made it out hunting again though.

You guy's should get out one more time. Birds are still moving down from the North here. Me and my buddy shot 25 morning dove and 27 eurasions ( they do not migrate) on Sunday morning by 9 a.m. When leaving in the truck we kicked up 6 groups of birds with a dozen or better in each group. We have had Low temps of 41 and days with highs in the 50's with light rain, but they are still coming in. There is a plant they really like and is starting to drop seeds. I call it Rocky Mtn Bean Plant. It has bean pods full of seeds, 2 to 3 feet high plant. Bean pods 2 to 3 inches long.

A buddy and I are going to give it a try tonight after work at a pond next to some cut corn. From the looks of our forecast this may be the last warmer day for a while.

A mile from the house there were probably 150-200 on the power lines and in the road over a cut corn field on Sunday afternoon. Too bad the neighbor put cows out on it. Saw several flying into a corn field this morning on the way into work.
