Hunted Eastern Colorado Saturday morning. Shot two birds in the first field I walked. I spent several more hours walking with no success. Finished the last field by putting down the tailgate of my truck, having a sandwich and giving my dog some more water. Well, I got the dog loaded and headed down the highway, back to my house. I forgot one thing, my Citori, wich was now sliding down the highway. Now I have a very expensive paper-weight. Most people do this with coffee or a wallet, but not me, I like to make it more interesting.

Man that sucks, was it pretty badly damaged? I have left a few things accidentally in the past but never a gun. Bet you won't do that again...

Yes, the gun is now for decoration (on one side anyways, ground a hole through the barrel on the other). I bought a new Browning Silver Hunter Semi-auto yesterday.

ouch!! couple of years ago my dad left the family heirloom rifle propped against the back of the jeep, backed up right over it, snapped the stock right at the grip. He was so sick about it, he could not tell me for a week. Thank goodness stocks are replaceable. Sucks about your Browning.

Oh... that makes me sick. But I thought you were going to say your dog kennel fell out on the highway... So I guess you can call that a "bright side"

I know how you feel!!! I had my Weatherby Athena 111 on top of my dog box as i put Star up in her kennel, got to talking, hopped in the truck and took off. I was almost home when it hit me:eek: I called back to some guys who were still there and they found it all over the highway.. but I fixed it little by little and i just need to re-blue the barrell and it will be almost like new!!

PS, reminded me af a friend in SD that had not straped down his duck boat. After a few cold ones he ended up draging it behind his trailer for about 15 miles in the dark.:D Needless to say the bottom was mostly gone. And he needed a new boat.
