South of I-70?

I know with it being a tough season that everyone is looking for this elusive honey hole that hasn't been effected by the drought. I realize that it ain't there. So, for me this is a season where I'm going to explore some new spots with my pup.

So I'm headed out next Thursday and Friday. I'd love to try an area south of I-70. I've never hunted quail before so I'd love to try it. Plus if it's really bad out there i can always switch over to a little duck hunting.

That being said I'm clueless as where to start. I know that it is close to hopeless, but I don't care, my pup would be livid with me if he knew I had some time off and I didn't take him out to chase birds. Can anyone help a fella out? Thanks in advance.

Fred, I was in Burlington a couple weeks ago and was told by the locals that there were a lot more birds south of town than north. I was working and not hunting, so I didn't get a chance to sample, but there are a lot of Rooster Roundup properties out there and a lot of them have decent cover left on them, so it might be worth a try.
