It looks to some of the poorest numbers in the state. Must have connections there?

Habitat is great, maybe too good. Walking is difficult with the thickness of the cover. I have seen quail at each place I've hunted, which is better than usual. I don't feel like pheasant numbers have really risen over the last couple years which have been better but not good compared to other areas. I've been hunting new or lesser spots so far though. I've been hunting between Highways 69 and 63 and south of highway 92.
I saw alot more hunting pressure the opening weekends than the past, thus the lesser covers.
If you were here a few years ago I'd expect improvement but not a great. For Quail I'd go west of 35 and Pheasants north of 80. Just my 2 cents
