I don't know if any of y'all will be in Larkspur this weekend for the clinic, however I will be there. I will be helping out the Merritts and also getting my dogs snakeproofed.

I will be ready for dove season after this...

I was pinged to help out ... normally I would, but we are in the middle of selling 2 houses, buying a new one and getting two houses packed up. Mrs. CO-Weimar has other plans for me ... painting the garage!

Snake breaking is a good thing!

Supposed to be a lot of people/dogs signed up for this event. Good event if it prevents even one dog from getting bit. Have fun.

Good luck with all that....:D:p

I think that I would rather go through the snake avoidance clinic myself!

One of our friends asked how it was going ... I said that my wife and I may need marriage counseling before this is all over and that we may need to take separate vacations. ;)

The clinic was pretty cool if you ask me. I had never been to one, however I will definitely take my dogs each year for a refresher. Julian Weslow brought his snakes and Dale and Brenda hosted it. I was there to get my dogs done and I also helped handle over 70 dogs on Saturday. We had every dog from retriever, pointer, spaniel, poodle, great dane, chihuauha, snouzher, etc.

There were tow western diamondback rattlers. One with the rattle taped, so the dogs could go by sight and smell and the other the rattle was not taped and that was more on sound. Using E-collars and long check cords.

Also, venomous snakes put off different scent from their glands that non-venomous such as bull snakes....

Will try and post some pics...

Thanks for the report!

There was a report on 7 News yesterday about a dog getting hit by a rattlesnake somewhere around Denver.
