Slump busted

5” fresh snow 10*. Missed last 5 birds I shot at. Went to the honey hole to break out. Saw lots of birds. Took the new dog KC. She was given to me after I went to check her out. Had $700 on her and she performed disastrously. Ole boy said I’ll just give her to you I need the kennel space. She hunts slow and close but points her birds and will hunt dead. I think I’ll keep her. Dog will hunt.

Tried to get some decent pics of her but she wouldn’t stay still. Sit and stay seem like a foreign language to her. Perfect she is not but for a free dog she’s light out.

Ive paid $50 for a unregistered dog and 3k for a papered 8 week old "champion bloodline" pup. Both were good but if I could clone one it would without a doubt be the $50 dollar dog. Definitely a once in a lifetime freak.

Went to check her out in early September. think it was 87*. She got hot and was just not interested in hunting. And neither was I for any amount of money. But when gifted I took a chance and she’s been really solid of late. Bummer is I can’t hunt her with the Shady Lady. Opposite ends of the spectrum. Tortoise and the hare if you will.
