Got this shrub growing on a glady sight on the farm but not sure what it is. I think its aromatic sumac but some think its hazel nut. Here's a couple of pics.
The one thing that confuses me on it being aromatic sumac is that other folks have told me and I've also read that A.S. has a skunky odor. The little buds or catkins on this plant have a really nice citrus smell when crushed. It grows in a somewhat round shape with the branches coming out from the base and almost grow along the ground before turning upwards.
