Got home Tuesday night after an awesome weekend out in the Selby, Eureka SD area. Went with my bro-in-law. My kid bailed the morning of. A girl I'm sure. With the noon start we were able to do a lot of scouting and secure a spot around 11am. We shot our limit in 47 minutes. I also kicked up a coyote (big scruffing looking one) Sunday proved a little harder as we were not able to get the spots we wanted although hunting pressure was much lighter then I expected. Sunday's limit took a little over 3 hours. Monday we made the 50 minute (scouting) trip up to Eureka and ate a little cafe. We counted 67 birds along the roadside. We found 3 spots to try. The first spot produced 4 birds in 18 minutes and a fifth at the 33 minute mark. A limit should have been had my bro missed three fairly easy ones. The next one was taken shortly arriving at the next spot. Beautiful area with very little hunting pressure and there is a lot of public land is what we were hunting.
