Sad day for Rhino's

I used to see pheasants regularly near 120th and Lowell..Now I see housing developments. Now I have to drive many miles to hunt pheasants and I will someday tell my grandkids of these good old days. Yesterday the Black Rhino was officially listed as extinct. If even half the money that is spent to get rid of guns was spent on conservation and enforcement perhaps there would be less extinct good old days my dad talked about. It still bothers me that there is no longer a fee for WIA's. I still feel when something is given free it has no value. Sorry I am just not sure how to get my mind around this. So I guess the next time I am out and am seeing far more pheasants on private ground instead of WIA's I will smile and be thankful they still have a safe place to go unlike the Black Rhino.
