Woke-up last friday morning to horrible sound coming from the foot of my bed. My 2.5 year old springer was having a seizure, I had never seen this before and it was very unsettling. Call vet immediatley and told me to bring her in for blood work the following week. She had another seizure Saturday took her to vet immediately and it was determined that she was going into false pregnency. He felt the high levels of hormones were triggering the seizures. She had more seizure over weekend before we spayed her on Monday and put her on pheno barbatal. No seizure since and she is getting back to normal
. We are going to try and wean her off meds after hormones have a chance to metambolize out. Has anyone heard of this or had similar experiences with this?
