What is "rough hunting?" I was looking at a hunting website featuring hunt info from the UK. It used the term rough hunting. Is that when you tramp the fields as we do looking for game? Another thing I noticed is the emphasis on bag size in the UK. Dove/pigeon hunters consider their first 100 bird day as a milestone. One site boasted of a hunter who bagged 290 dove/pigeon in a day. Another site mentioned a 150 pheasant bag, presumably from a driven hunt. Seems there is more of an emphasis on shooting well in the UK rather than hunting them down as we do in the US.
