Roading/Conditioning

Thanks for the info oldandnew, I'll have to try Tuff-cotte

For all you out there with a smart phone - I have a droid and I got an app called "mytracks". I keep it in my pocket when I go biking/roading and it'll tell me all the stats like top speed avg moving speed etc, and that way I can keep closer tabs on our run without buying a handheld gps

our first day out I walked with the bike on my right side and the leash on the left to see how she'd do. I got a bit comfortable so hopped on and rode a bit. Didn't take but 2 minutes and Fillmore cut right in front of me. She got clipped by the front wheel, and I ran her foot over. ripped open some skin.... she never made that mistake again, and we've been riding just fine ever since. ;)

I don't use an attachment. I just hold the leash in my hand and she runs next to me. we've had plenty of practice on bike paths with little to no traffic, so now if we need to ride on a street, she knows where to be. I wouldn't risk a spot with too much traffic though. some risks just aren't worth it.
