Related SD Post-Pheasants/Prairie Dogs

We plan to be in SD the last week of October on a combo hunt. I understand this time frame may be off-peak for PD's. We will be in the South Central portion of the State. Can anyone share some knowledge/experience regarding PD hunting in SD at this time? Thanks!

Shouldnt be a problem with them being out. Locating them can be a different thing. Central part of the state is a big area, and not alot of PDs. A more specific location/area would help..

If you get west of about Presho you start getting into dogs right along the Interstate.Then turn North into the Grassland and have a look.As long as it's sunny,you will see dogs.Don't pay much,if anything to shoot dogs.There are tons on public land and a lot of landowners want the leg breakin pasture wrecking little critters thinned out.
