Raspberry Burger

A few weeks ago, we treated our guides to dinner at the Depot in Mitchell.

I had the Raspberry Popper Burger that had a raspberry sauce I’d never had or even heard of before.

After that, I started noticing raspberry burgers on other menus.

Are these common in the upper Midwest, and does anyone have a good recipe for a raspberry sauce to put on a burger?

I don't know if it's only a Midwest thing but Rasberry Chipotle jelly is awesome. I also have some Blueberry Chipotle BBQ sauce that is quite good.
 
I went to a holiday party one year where they were serving chili. They had some sort of raspberry hot sauce that you could add to your chili. I don’t know what was in it but it was hot! Man that was good I still remember it. I bet that was 30 years ago.

Found some Blues Hog Raspberry Chipotle bbq sauce that looked much like what came on the burger at The Depot. Turned out better than I was expecting.

I also used it for a sauce on some jalapeño cheddar rooster poppers.
