Rain just makes for a little more work. But it's what they made Gore-tex for? Right? We shot a lot of birds in the Iowa rain a couple weeks ago. Was glad it quit, but we weren't about to let it stop us. And yes, the pheasants were where you'd expect them to be.
I hunted in heavy snow cover on Saturday. Stripped the shotgun down after getting back, dried her off and gave her a good cleaning once she was up to room temperature. Put the boots on the boot drier, hung up my pants and jacket. Was ready to go again Sunday morning.
A 3" downpour would make it pretty tough, though. I hope it didn't pour on you the entire day.
