Son called last night and said he wanted to get out but could only hunt a couple hours. Told him to meet me at the farm at 8 and we could see if any roosters were around. Hunted the filter strip on the creek first. 2 wild flushes and several hens flushed by the pup. Came bsck on the other side and the springer flushed a tight sitting rooster. Son's second shot drpped him in the corn field.
We decided to hunt an 8 acre crp spot that has held birds but they always flushed wild. I told my son to take his griff and walk the south edge and i would bring the springer in from the south. Well 20 yards into the south side all hell broke loose by my son. Roosters going every which way. Heard 2 shots and saw the kid picking up 2 roosters. Back to the truck in 1hour and 20 mins with a limit.
