Starting to narrow things down for a Pointing Lab. Looking to see if anyone out there has experience with the following kennels:
1) Black Partridge Kennels -
2) Hunters Point Kennels -
3) Hunters Rose Kennels -
All seem to have good breedings and know their stuff.
Anybody know if Ford Full Bore Diesel has a history of bad hips in the offspring ? While everyone guarantees hips, the reality is that after 2 years you're not likely to get rid of dog as your attached to it.

I can't help you on any of those breeders. BUT, find out what the guarantee is on hips. Some breeders, such as Springset Gordon Setters, will give you another dog and let you keep the original. Springset has a guarantee for 5 years...if the dog has genetic defects or doesn't hunt like it should, they'll give you another pup, and let you keep the original. I'm pretty sure they're not the only breeder with a guarantee like that.

Hunters Point

A friend had a Hunters Point lab and was very happy with it. I know of a couple good litters on the ground. OFFA.org should be able to give you hip and elbow info on any dog that they have tested.

Would the breeders allow you to contact previous customers? That would be the most accurate way to determine health. What about contacting the AKC to get information on the litters that have been sold by a breeder. Just a thought.
