Just got back from Nebraska with my buddies for our annual trip. Tough hunting with the drought. The conversation turned quickly to we need to go to South Dakota! We all grew up hunting in Colorado and Nebraska knocking on doors for permission or hunting public land, Im guessing thats not how it works in SD. We figured it would cost anywehere from 500 - 1200 for a long weekend hunt? Does anyone has some good advice for a place where we can do a self guided wild bird hunt with our own dogs? If there are any places that come recommended that have rights to good pheasant habitat please pass along. No rush as we are in the middle of the season now, but guessing we would have to make some reservations early for next year.
Thanks for the help
