had some gift cards for cabelas so i made figured what better to spend them on than some upland stuff.

i currently have a few pairs of regular upland pants, but wanted to find something a little more water resistant.

i bought these:

they are a very weird material. they are almost like a stretchy pants meets workout pants meets upland chaps. they are super comfy and the movement is amazing! they feel as though they should be pretty water resistant and the reviews sound pretty good. the only thing that scared me in the review was that they might be a little short. I wear my pants low thanks to my barley and hops storage container, so i tried them on and they fit very well.

the other thing I picked up was a jacket. I don't have any cold weather upland gear and last year i was forced to try to squeeze my vest over a winter jacket or wear my blaze orange deer hunting jacket. i chose this one:

all the other coats I tried on were too short for me. I am around 6'2". this one hangs just right. Definitely isnt a jacket I am going to be able to where until it is below freezing, but it should come in pretty handy. integrated vest, lots of pockets, and the reviews say it is pretty waterproof.

Like the look of those pants. You'll appreciate them more when you hunt that first damp frosty wet morning when you get soaked from the waste down.

I have a jacket very similar to that. The sleeves zip off on mine which I keep off a lot. What are blaze acrylic shoulders?
