Pheasant Tails

Well with the season far far away, I have been tormenting the local trout population. Here is a shot of a Parachute Fly tied with a SD Pheasant tail, I cannot tell you the joy I have catching a fish on fly tied with a bird that I harvested. Just thought I would share.

Nice Vise you have there no pun intended. I too have been known to tie a few feathers to catch a fish or two. I also like the red stripe in the back ground.:thumbsup:

Trout are cool. Flies tied w/birds you bagged: cool too. BUT WHAT ABOUT THE RED STRIPE?
