Good afternoon,
After many seasons of hunting public, private and preserve lands a group of us have purchased several hundred roosters for release on private land. We have obtained all the necessary permits to buy, keep and hunt the birds in conjunction with dog training exercises.
When staging the birds prior to the hunt is there an effective way to set them? I have heard several different methods from tucking the wing over the birds head to covering them with a towel until they are set in the cover.
I would greatly appreciate any input from anyone with knowledge in this area
