Seen a few hens, roosters have moved to the outer reaches. Lots of miles, lots of quail, the dogs are having a blast. Still, only one wild bird shot for five trips.
It’s been warm, but they have been actively flooding, should have plenty of water by the time the season is over.

I am thinking of this Saturday. I think late in the season will be better with the water especially if we can get some meaningful preci[itation and if a lot of hunters give up and the birds have a chance to settle
