Spoke with one of the guys that runs the North Grasslands complex, which consists of Los Banos, Volta, Salt Slough, China Island, San Luis. He told me conditions were ideal this year and they had a good hatch. They are seeing a good number of birds this year. Better than they have seen in several years. I am looking forward to the first day.
