Pheasant hunting Harrison county north and west Missouri Valley

Lots of IHAP acres north and west of mo valley. Cover looks thick. Anybody ever hunt this area?
Yes I have hunted this area alot...........for deer and turkey, while the cover looks great and I am sure if you walk a bunch you will get chances but typically the pheasant #'s are not very good. If I were going to pheasant hunt down there I would head to the public hunting areas of the Loess Hills just a few miles over, there you will find a few quail to go along with the occasional pheasant.
Poor numbers this year. Had heavy rainfall in June which I believe killed many newly hatched birds.Lots of IHAP acres north and west of mo valley. Cover looks thick. Anybody ever hunt this area?
I have not been south to Missouri Valley Iowa area this year at all. (Second hand report) I have a friend who bow hunts the area pretty regularly and he says from what he's seen the quail #'s are pretty good and pheasants are few and far between in the Loess Hills in the area he hunts.
