My family and I drove into Aberdeen last night at around 8pm. We saw a lot of pheasants along the way on Hwy 12 eastbound into Aberdeen. I finally started counting from Mina to Aberdeen. From Mina to where the road splits to 4 lane (around 7 miles) and we counted 29 roosters and tons of hens. Hopefully that equates to good hunting this fall!

That's great to hear! I'm hoping for a good hatch this year too. My annual trip to SD (Miner Co.) keeps me sane on hot summer days. I love that place and love the hunting it has to offer. I look forward to hearing from SD residents throughout the spring. Under 6 months away!!!

Same report here. Just made reservations for our group over on the Hand/Hyde County line and ranch owner reports a lot less snow this winter and if they get through the spring with decent weather, there's reason for hope. He's seeing quite a few more birds this year already. Maybe this is the start of an upswing. Hope so.
