If I release pen raised pheasants in the middle of low growth food plot at daylight most of the roosters will be on the east side cover within an hour or so. If I release late afternoon they will wad up on the western edges.
Maybe it’s just me but I use this observation to put birds where I want them to end up….
I think they head toward that big heat lamp in the sky…
