Last weekend I ran me companion Labrador Retriever gun dog in an HRC "Quad" Upland Hunt Test(s) - (essentially four separate hunt tests packed into one weekend). The test was hosted by the Long Island Retriever Field Trial Club and they ran a very nicely organized event. Each o' the four separate tests included the required elements o' a "walk-up", two flushes on hunts in which the dog displays good quartering skills and demonstrates steadiness to wing, shot, and fall, and the honoring of the primary working dog. Me Labrador TRAD was the only dog to go 4 for 4 in qualifying scores toward earning his HRC Upland Hunter Title in the weekend long event. TRAD was entered having no previously earned HRC points toward an Upland Hunter Title. TRAD is cross trained on both waterfowl and upland birds and we are approaching his 3rd season as a hunting gun dog with the upcoming bird season. TRAD is also an accomplished K9 hunt test athlete in both HRC and AKC Hunt Test events. TRAD just turned 4 on 8/30/17 and a litter o' seven pups sired by him and whelped on 4/23/17 is showing great promise with regard to development as extraordinary gun dog recruits. I am currently training one of the pups ( a yellow female) for a client and she is developing grandly. TRAD was acquired by meself through the selective breeding program o' Haynes and Colleen Floyd of DOUBLE TT BRITISH KENNELS in Sylvia, KS to whom I am forever grateful for this outstanding field performance hunter.

TEAM TRAD working under judgment during the Long Island Retriever Field Trial Club HRC Upland Hunter Stake Quad Event. TRAD's registered name is now officially HR UH TTF CRAIGHORN KIFFIN TRAD SH. TRAD currently also has 1 qualifying leg toward an AKC Master Hunter Title and 2 qualifying scores toward an HRC Hunting Retriever Champion Title.
